A Solution on the Horizon

A Program Where Wayward Boys Become Responsible Christian Men

LifeQuest is developing a Christian aftercare transitional home for young men who do not have a functional family environment to go to upon release from county and state correctional facilities.

Chaplain Roy, along with members of LQE Board of Directors are prayerfully seeking funds for obtaining a 13 acre farm property within the Midlothian, Texas area that will provide a setting for housing facilities and a back to nature farm/ranch approach to these young men becoming independent, responsible servant leaders.

Because so much is at stake with each resident, the Discovery Farms home will have very high standards for selective admission of young men between the ages of 16 to 19 years old with an average stay from 12 - 24 months.  They will attend the Midlothian High School which is a top rated 4A school in Texas for performance and academic excellence.  This provides the opportunity for each youth to receive a quality, college preparatory education.

Chaplain Roy, his family and the Discovery Farms staff will become role models and mentors for the residents in the home.

Activities for the young men will include church attendance, directed Bible studies, Christ-centered fellowships, youth choirs, and summer youth camps.

The Discovery Farms program will hopefully become an effective model for equipping these young men to become independent Christian servant leaders and productive citizens.
