In 1999 LifeQuest Essentials (LQE), a non-profit 501[c]3 faith-based organization, was founded by Chaplain Roy A. Teague, Jr.

Future hopes for LQE are for a residential transitional living home for at-risk teens and boys released from juvenile correctional facilities.

Mission

The mission for LifeQuest Essentials is threefold:

  1. Assist preparing adjudicated teens for social re-entry by providing chaplaincy which offers daily chapel services, personal counseling, and mentors during their incarceration.
  2. Assist with their effective aftercare, providing mentors to teens for account-ability, for continued nurturing of their faith, for development of positive peer friend-ships, and for outreach to their peers and to their parents.

  3. Establish preventive aftercare facilities which will provide faith-based education, recreation, life and vocational skills training to at-risk teens.
